About Us

Ginnie Baskin is the founder and president of 5 Star Nannies, Inc.   She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia.  With a background in teaching and business management, Ginnie has exceptional qualifications for screening both childcare and domestic professionals.  Ginnie has taught elementary classes in public and private schools in the greater Atlanta area and was the recipient of the Sallie Mae First Year Teaching Award in Fulton County in 1993. 

Ginnie and her husband Joel, an attorney, are the parents of four wonderful children, ranging in age from two to thirteen.  Ginnie has firsthand experience with the type of care required by children of all ages.  She has hired caregivers and housekeepers for her own family and knows what an important decision it is to find the best candidate for the job.  Rest assured, you will interview only those candidates whom Ginnie would hire herself.
