Process & Responsibilities
The Placement Process
When you decide to use our services, your placement process will include five key steps:
- Application and fee. You may complete and submit your application online, or download the form and fax or mail it to us. Be sure to provide all of the requested information. To launch your search, send us your non-refundable application fee – either by credit card online or by check.
- Follow-up call. Once we receive your application and payment, we will call you to discuss your individual or family needs and obtain any additional information required.
- Candidate interviews. After reviewing the qualifications and experience of various candidates, we will identify those individuals who closely match your requirements. For each candidate, you will receive a 5 Star File containing complete background information. We will then arrange a phone interview followed by a personal interview with the individual(s) you would like to consider.
- Employment contract. If the selected candidate has passed all screening checks, we will prepare a contract between you and the chosen childcare or household professional. The contract will cover salary and employment terms, and must be signed and returned to us before your nanny or housekeeper begins employment.
- Fee payment. 5 Star Nannies’ placement fee is due upon signing of the contract. Our fee covers the selected individual’s placement with your household as well as a guaranteed replacement for a period of up to 90 days.
Family Responsibilities
Although 5 Star Nannies will relieve you of many of the burdens involved in the employee search, you still have some important responsibilities. You will need to complete all paperwork required for your placement and satisfy all financial agreements in a timely manner, both with our agency and the nanny or housekeeper you employ.
Of course, the most critical responsibility also rests with you: Selecting and hiring the candidate who will provide the desired level of service, care and support to meet your family’s specific needs. You will want to make sure that you spend enough time with the candidates and give your decision careful thought, to ensure a successful placement for both your family and the individual you choose.
